Agave Celsii 'Nova' shines wherever you set it. The waves of the ocean unravel like a Lotus flower and the finest of serrated margins work their way up the wave-like leaves to form bronze-maroon terminal spines at the tips. This supernova of an organism can benefit from partial shade in areas with intense sunlight during the summertime.

It is a hybrid of Agave Mitis, native to the states of Hidalgo, Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosi in Mexico.

A small, sculptural Agave with steely blue-grey foliage that makes a striking addition to a succulent or rock garden. Its broad, shield shaped foliage bows out from the center of the plant before curving back inward at the tips. Grows as a solitary rosette and rarely produces offsets. Small marginal teeth and needle-like terminal spines are a dark red that contrast beautifully with its blue foliage. Fast-growing, so it tends to bloom at a younger age than most Agave. Prefers full sun to light shade inland. Plant in well-draining soil and water occasionally to infrequently.

Please note:

No two plants are exactly the same, that’s what makes them so unique! There may be some slight variations in height, width, amount of leaves, etc. We do our best to keep our listings updated. As these are live plants, they change frequently.

Part of what makes succulents so fascinating are the myriad ways they express themselves throughout the year, depending on light, season, temperature, soil, and hydration. For those and other reasons, the plants you receive may not look exactly as they appear in the pictures.
